Tuesday morning I was hiking out of Tepakán with 20 liters of water in my backpack, sweat dripping off the tip of my nose as I watched the sidewalk glide below me, when what's shown above came along. A flower cluster fallen from a Lebbeck-Tree, three beans from the Lebbeck's pods, and a sidewalk with textured surface and cracks. It was a composition waiting to be admired.
Sometimes I think that for us humans the highest calling is to see things as compositions, waiting to be admired. Maybe the One Thing/Great Spirit, appreciates appreciation, and for that reason evolves us toward ever higher levels of receptivity and refinement.
